Further to HSCA’s previous communication regarding the runway works at Athens International Airport scheduled for 17–22 September 2026, during which the airport will operate under coordinated status, we would like to provide the following update.
Athens International Airport (AIA) and the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) have requested a short postponement of the second phase of the ongoing working procedure, as there is a possibility that the applicable capacity parameters may be increased compared to those initially declared.
Consequently, although we had planned to notify the airlines concerned of the number of slots to be cancelled per time zone on Monday 23/02, this communication will be deferred pending final declaration of the capacity.
We will revert as soon as updated information is received from AIA and HCAA, including confirmation of the revised deadlines applicable to the current working procedure.
