Following an extraordinary Coordination Committee that took place on 12 December 2019, updated coordination parameters for the airports of
• Mykonos - LGMK/JMK
• Corfu - LGKR/CFU
will be in effect from 1st July 2020 until the end of Summer 2020 season.
H.S.C.A. would like to inform you that as a result of Thomas Cook UK bankruptcy (MT/TCX), part of the MT slots will be transferred to JET2.com, pursuant to Article 8a (1) (b) (iii) of EC 95/93, as amended by EC 793/2004.
The majority of the slots will be returned to the pool and will be re-allocated based on the Worldwide Slot Guidelines criteria.
HSCA, aware of the difficulties imposed by the grounding of 737-MAX aircraft variants and as described in EEC Reg. 95/93 (793/2004) Article 10.4a, announces that grounding of this aircraft type will be considered as a Force Majeure event and appropriate actions will be followed.
As of the 31st of December 2018, following the publication in the Goverment's Gazzette (794/31-12-2018) of the decision issued by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Klosidis Kostantinos has been appointed as Executive Vice-Chairman of H.S.C.A.
H.S.C.A. is an independent, non-profit Public Entity, established by the Greek Law 3534/2007 on the 23rd of February 2007. It is managed by the Board of Directors, directly appointed by the Minister of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks. Funding is independent, through slot fees imposition in favour of H.S.C.A. to the managing body of a coordinated or schedule facilitated airport as well as to the air carriers for each take-off or landing slot held by the operator.
The mission of H.S.C.A., in accordance with the EU regulation 95/93 18th of January as amended by 793/2004 21st of April, IATA Worldwide Slot Guidelines and local rules, is to provide a professional, neutral, transparent, non-discriminatory service to the aviation industry, continuously improving quality of services and thereby to optimize the use of capacity in congested Greek Airports. H.S.C.A. is also responsible for monitoring the proper use of slots allocated to airlines in cooperation with the airports and the air navigation authorities.
Our head office is located at Athens International airport aiming access to the largest airport in Greece and an important Balkan hub, as well as the operating centres of the airlines and representatives located in the area.
H.S.C.A.'s Operations Center is located at Markopoulo, Attica, in modern and state-of-the-art facilities.
